Convert your favorite DVD movies and play them on your iPod with MovKit's excellent set of features and easy-to-use interface. You can convert DVDs using the program’s default settings or customize conversions by specifying the frame size, frame rate, video format, video/audio bitrate and the file extension. MovKit also supports more video formats than most of the other products we reviewed.

MovKit’s DVD conversion was close to the quality of the original DVD and the quality of video conversion was very close to the original, with the exception of some minor contrast issues.

As we conducted our tests, Movkit consistently converted DVDs at three-fourths the time it would take to watch the movie. Compared to other DVD to iPod conversion products, this is slow. Video files, on the other hand, were converted considerably faster just one-third the time it would take to watch the clips.

We also found that the MoviKit application ran considerably slower than most of the other programs we evaluated. It is slow while loading and it doesn’t like when other applications were running on the computer at the same time it is  converting.
