Magicbit’s DVD Direct to iPod Power Pack conversion quality and speed are perfect. The picture was bright and vivid each time we converted a DVD and the sound was great. Unfortunately, Magicbit only converts video files into thumbnails (.THM). In the time it would take to watch the video clip, this product breaks the entire file down to the opening frame. When we emailed Magicbit’s tech support explaining the problem, we received no response.
It is important to note the uncanny similarities between Magicbit’s DVD to iPod and the DVD to iPod programs of our Silver and Bronze Award winning products—aside from color and font, they are identical. Xilisoft and ImTOO are partners in research and development, but Magicbit is not a member of their group.
We recommend, if you want to convert DVD and video files to watch on your iPod, that you choose a higher ranked product.
